Violinist Richard Luby & Pianist Clara Yang

Richard holds degrees from Juilliard and the Curtis Institute of Music. Formerly on the faculty of the Eastman School of Music, Richard now teaches violin at UNC.

Dr. Yang joined the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in January, 2011. A student of three legendary teachers Nelita True, Claude Frank and John Perry, she received degrees from the Eastman School of Music. At Yale, she also studied chamber music with David Shifrin, Peter Frankl and the late Jesse Levine.

Dr. Yang has been successful in numerous competitions having been awarded first prize in the 2010 Eastman Rachmaninoff Concerto, American Protege International, San Jose Beethoven and San Francisco Chopin Competitions, among many others.
